"Enchanted Places with Intimate Strangers"
The opening reception for the photographic art of Michael McCurry "Enchanted Places" and Earle Sidelle "Intimate Strangers" will be presented in the Galeria Mistica.

Michael McCurry
"I endeavor to perceive and to reveal the essence, the magic and the mystery of my subjects." A selection of exciting new work titled, "Enchanted Places" at Galeria Mistica. A professional photographer with a degree in Anthropology, has for many years explored and photographed the high desert and desert places of Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Mexico. You will be captivated by His unique use of grounded natural pigment powders applied to water resistant canvas printed with photographic archival pigmented black ink.
Mr. McCurry recently relocated from Reno, Nev. where He specialized in creating interior/exterior architectural design photography and marketing promotional displays.
Earle Sidelle
"Each photograph desires to be an intimate engagement with the monumental". A fascinating photographic study of the Arizona high desert 's Spiritual Saguaro Cactus. This series using a digital infrared camera focus emphasis on lines and shapes magnifying parts of the cactus. Textures, spines stand out rendering each image more personal as a portrait. The clouds, different with each image, rich chocolate and coffee brown skies, almost translucent green arms enhance the shapes of these giant survivors.
Mr. Sidelle teaches photography at Sahuaro High School. And holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA.
